Running 100 miles is a challenge like no other, and the GSER 100 Mile offers the ultimate test of your mind, body, and spirit. Set in Victoria’s breathtaking High Country, this epic journey takes you through rugged alpine terrain, ancient snow gum forests, and pristine river valleys, past cascading waterfalls and historic huts, and across iconic mountain peaks. GSER100 Details:

  • ENTRY FEEs: $469 Opening Price Valid through to May 30th
  • DISTANCE: 174.5km (100 miles) with 7565m elevation gain
  • START TIME: 6:00 am 21st of November - RACE HQ - Hotham Central
  • TOTAL CUT OFF: 48 hours
  • Compulsory gear check – email process by Wed 19th Nov or in person at Race HQ from Thursday 2.00 pm. or until 5.00 am Friday (One hour before race start).
  • COMPULSORY PRE RACE: 5:30 am, 21st of November - RACE HQ - Hotham Central
  • RACE BRIEFING: Online viewing from 8pm Monday November the 17th.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

From alpine meadows and snow gum forests to rugged ridgelines and historic high-country huts, the GSER 100-mile course showcases the breathtaking beauty of Victoria’s iconic High Country. With crystal-clear creeks, rolling pastures, and some of Australia’s most dramatic mountain peaks, this is the ultimate ultra-trail running experience.

Starting from the heart of Mt Hotham, runners will set off to the cheers of the crowd, embarking on an epic journey across the Victorian Alps.

The course weaves through the majestic Dargo High Plains, the Bogong High Plains, and the iconic Razorback Ridge. Along the way, runners will traverse challenging climbs, descend into lush valleys, and pass through landmarks such as the Cobungra River, Mount Feathertop, and Federation Hut.

As the adventure unfolds, runners will encounter breathtaking views of the high-country wilderness, with every summit and descent testing their resolve. The journey culminates in a triumphant finish at Mt Hotham, where the sense of accomplishment and camaraderie await.

Spanning 100 miles of rugged, scenic, and truly unforgettable trails, the GSER is designed for those who crave the ultimate challenge amidst the raw beauty of Australia’s alpine wilderness. This is ultra-trail running at its finest.

  • (P) = Pacer access and (C) = Crew support is allowed at that Aid Station.

PACERS:

At GSER 2025, Pacers are allowed for our 100-mile (GSER100) event.

Not only will GSER Pacers take in the scenic mountain views of the Victorian high country, but they’ll also provide their runner with moral support, and companionship and keep them motivated to make it to the finish line.

GSER 100-mile runners will be allowed 3 pacers to join them:

  • Pacer 1 can join their runner from the Orchard AS through to the Pretty Valley AS. (52.3Km)
  • Pacer 2 can join their runner from the Pretty Valley AS through to the Alpine Gateway AS. (26.3Km)
  • Pacer 3 can join their runner from the Alpine Gateway AS through to the Finish line. (44.3Km)

All PACERs will have full access to the Aid station facilities.

PACER fees are $30 per pacer, per leg.

All PACERS must be registered online no later than November 17th, 2025.
